Wowzers...what a whirlwind!

Man oh man...these last couple of weeks has gone by quickly! LB's wedding was awesome & so well planned. Much props LB! I've got a lot on my mind for my wedding. this planning for myself is so daunting! I love to plan for others, but for myself, it's not as much fun as everyone says. there are too many things to think about & i'm soooooooooo picky!

I especially enjoyed Baj's account of the wedding weekend. :) so stereotypically true!

FINALLY, mummzy came with me to finish off the wedding invites & get a move on with the ordering. They still need to be sent. Yikes! M has lots to look forward to with her wedding planning .... good luck! You have plenty of time, so start now, and it won't get so overwhelming.

I feel like I'm getting so stagnant! I haven't gotten nearly as much exercise since I've moved back home. How am I supposed to fit in the wedding lengha???!!! oh well. there's always elastic. haha.

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwww! I was at the doctor's to get my regular bloodwork done.... It was sooooo yuckie! I've never heard my blood before...it was like a leaky faucet in the vial. Nasty! everything is normal. that was good.

I just started to feel so confused with everything. i guess because i have no time for myself lately, and haven't gotten to focus on my goals. I think I'm having my quarter-life crisis a little later than most! i'm a couple years overdue. I hope i'm not the only one.

Just a hodgepodge of bloggin

WOWZERS! It's April already???? The weather is Beautimous!

I had such a busy week. I have been soooo busy doing work that I haven't had time for myself! sooooooo, I bought a Jack LaLane Juicer! Yes... the one from the infomercial. I had soooo much fruit that my parents gave to me this week, that I felt the need to JUICE! It is a great stress reliever. You just smash fruit to get juiced. I highly recommend it for stressbusting. Pear juice is so awesome.

Juicing aside, I have made some strides this week:

Life does not prepare us for death

My thadijan passed away on the morning of Tuesday, March 21, 2006. I was shocked when i found out through a phone call from dad. Needless to say, I cried when I found out. I cried mostly for my father, who wasn't present, but was in NY. He was not there during the time his father died in Pakistan. And he wasn't prepared for his mother's death so soon, and again, was not there when it had happened. However, he was only a short flight away to get here. Dad, B and U flew home that night.

We made the arrangements to have the funeral on Wednesday morning. I wasn't sure what to expect. I had never been to a funeral before this. I had helped mom & my aunties & cousins to prepare thadi for the casket. When I saw her, she looked as though she was just sleeping so peacefully, as though she could wake up at any moment. She had her thasbie in hand across her chest. She knew it was her time.

As she lay there in the shroud, with her face exposed, we gathered around to pray and lay fowers and petals around her body. I placed 1 lilly on top of her feet and a stream of tears fell from my eyes. After her burial, I couldn't keep myself together when one of my aunty's told me that she had just finished choosing her 4 wedding suits, which I had seen hung neatly in her closet after the funeral. She kept talking about how excited she was to attend my wedding.

Life is so precious, and one can go at any time that Allah wills. I'm glad I got to see her one last time before she was placed in the earth. She will be happier in the hereafter.

Details, details, details

Gosh! Wedding planning is hectic! Too many things to think of when it's your own event. I have no problem planning other stuff for other people, but now that I have to do this for myself, it has gotten overwhelming. Who to invite, Cards, Mehndi party, Addresses, Dates, Parties & more parties, Times, Videographer, Hair, Makeup, Photographer, Flowers, DJ, Music, Food, Linens, Centerpieces, Registries, Dresses for wedding & more parties, Schedules, Out of Towners, In-Laws, blahblah blahblah blah!!!!! Then to deal with those who get mad at you for no invite!

Oh my gosh....i gotta do my Taxes!!! yikes. April is quickly approaching!

On a good note, I'm slowly moving up the charts at garageband.com. I'm now #76 out of around 500 in Pop. Pretty good..."i reached for you" moved up around 10 spots from yesterday! I never thought it would be in the top 100.

It's amazing

So T & I got lost in Jeffersonville in the DARK. How could we get lost in such a small area??? Just as in life: Take a wrong turn, and you're lost. You try to make sense of where you are and venture out to find your way & eventually you find your way back home. I am in a phase right now where I feel anxious and have a lot of questions on where I am supposed to be in life....did I make the right decisions to move close to home? Only God knows why I came back...something big is going to happen, I just don't know what it is.

So I'm feeling so bloggie. and new to the world of blogs. It's Prolly because I read Chai's blog and got inspired... and most of my friends are bloggers and I wanted to see if I stick to it.

I'm up so late... I was contemplating what I'm going to do when I enter the Oreo cookie jingle contest. In the meantime, I found out that one of my songs is currently charted at #78 in the Garageband.com pop charts. Vow! Datsch Grrate!
